- 1 Doctor Fully qualified doctors aboard our Advance Life Support (ALS) ambulances provide patients with the best possible care during transfer.
- 2 Nurse Our team of competent nurses provide huge support to the interventions we undertake.
- 3 Resuscitation bag The Resuscitation bag in our ambulances ensures that patients who have stopped breathing or who are breathing inadequately are provided positive pressure ventilation to stabilise them.
- 4 Life-saving drugs These drugs are administrated within minutes post or during a medical emergency. These medicines have the potential to sustain life and/or prevent further complications. Life-saving drugs form an integral part of any emergency service
- 5 Head Immobilizers Head Immobilizers are usually used while transferring patients that have suffered head and neck injuries. The gear helps keep the patient's head and neck stable, thereby preventing further damage
- 6 Oxygen System The Oxygen System in our ambulance is a critical tool that helps administer oxygen to patients during a medical intervention. Oxygen is essential for cell metabolism, and in turn, tissue oxygenation is essential for all normal physiological functions.
- 7 AED Essential during a cardiac attack, the Automated External Defibrillator or AED in our ambulance is a portable electronic device that automatically diagnoses and corrects abnormal heart rhythms in patients through electric therapy.
- 8 BP Apparatus It monitors a patient's blood pressure during transfer. This enables EMOs and EMTs to administer medication in transit, thereby stabilising patients' way before they reach the Emergency Room.
- 9 Pulse Oximeter A Pulse Oximeter directly monitors the oxygen saturation of a patient's blood and changes in blood volume in the skin. It is often attached to a medical monitor so that ambulance staff can observethe patient's oxygenation at all times. Some Oximetres display the heart rate as well.
- 10 Suction Machine It is not uncommon to find suction devices performing life-saving procedures in emergencies. The Suction Machine in our ambulances, in cases of internal injury, helps drain fluids from the body.
- 11 Burn Kit Important while tackling burn injuries, the Burn Kit includes everything that is important to provide initial transit care to critically injured burn victims.
- 12 Airway Kit Essential in Advance Cardiovascular Life Support, the Airway Kit on our ambulance, if used by responders in time, can prevent a full cardiopulmonary arrest from occurring.
